Where the Smurfs live
Since moving to Florida, I'm struck by the influx of the little blue creatures that MUST live under these things. They are insanely large mushrooms that grow up in about a day.
Where previously, there were none, within a day, there is an entire village.
The only thing that doesn't make sense to me is that the smurfs were said to have been 3 apples tall...I just gotta tell ya, there're big parts of me that just don't buy that. Not unless the apples are the size of the little red berries on the holly bushes.

hey there world! here's my house
When we moved here, our little June, fed by the satellites, had some issues finding her way around this crazy sprawling area. Softie actually found the house we ended up renting on the first day of his intense search. He found it online. He tried for like 3 weeks to actually locate it. It didn't exist on Google or in the satellites.
All that has changed now and I'd like to show you what our house looks like. I think the pic is a couple of years old. If it was Washington, the development around us would have changed the overhead shot in like 2 months. Bare land isn't allowed to stay bare for long where we come from.
Although the nature around here is different, it's kinda nice to have it around. Undisturbed and what not.
Here's the fancy little view from the sky. Mine is the one right under the arrow. It's kinda hard to believe, but seriously, yes. Every single house in our whole neighborhood is exactly the same outside. There are small differences inside, but from the front...and the top...it's all the same.

There's a gift for everyone
I was just surfing the internet tonight when something really caught my eye.
I think you should check it out. It's for real...trust me...

DUDE! I need to post something!
I've been working on my Flickr account for more than an hour. There's so many different ways to organize your pics over there, I could stay busy for a week straight! Tags. Sets. Collections. Batch organize. Edit tags. Geomapping. How intricate should I be with this? I'm rather amused by all the options. It's making me feel oddly creative. So, come on over and check out some new sets I've put together. I'm not done by any means, but I didn't want the day the get away from me without my NaBloPoMo post for the day! :)

this is me ~ today
I woke up a little early this morning after a pretty horrible night filled with more tossing and turning than sleeping.
Instead of jumping into the shower and getting started for the day, I decided to turn on the TV and see what I could find. I ended watching a the last part of The Ringer. I couldn't believe what time it was when it was over. I was supposed to be downstairs in precisely 15 minutes. So much for the shower. I made it my job to get the rest of the hairs on my head to look mostly like the bedhead I was trying to hide.
So, after a day outside in the wind, how do you think I did?
