WOW!
Wow!
I almost can't think of words to say to express how elated I am right now. My BFFE linked me on her blog to the pic posted just below and you know what? I had a record setting day over here in the Crazy Places...61 page hits in one single day! Damn! That's never happened. Even when I posted the video of my Sweetie singing.
My mind is blown! Completely away.
Wow!
Thanks all y'all for stopping by!

I heard this term for the first time only a week ago!
Last week, on my flight home from Denver, I sat next to this very nice man who referenced the landscaping in his yard as zeroscaped. Huh? Did he just say that? What the heck is that? What? Huh? I'm sorry, have I already said, huh?
So, then I'm hanging out in my Reader, and low and behold, my wonderful friend references xeriscaping, and I'm all, huh? Did she just say that? Thank goodness she linked to the wiki for me, since I wasn't even sure I'd heard the word right in the first place!
And now? WOW! I feel so environmentally friendly in my yard now! I will post pics later this week when I get home. There's a little butterfly garden in the back yard that looks just like the first pic in the wiki! WOW! Me! GREEN?!

and now, I'm expected to come up with something to say...
I just had another phone/IM date with the coolest chick in the world that I didn't make and I gotta tell you, I'm tired out! I miss her soooo much and these little dates have really helped to soften the loss.
Love ya, baby!!

Phone dating.
The last two nights, I've had 3 different phone dates. It's been wonderful fun connecting with the people I love with dedicated phone time.
My first date was with the Girls' Moma, I went to bed shortly after and slept pretty well.
This afternoon, on my way back to the hotel, I tried Softie. No answer. I tried the house. No answer. So I called Sweetie and lo and behold, 58 minutes later, I hung up. When I called Softie immediately following, he said I seemed tired. I kinda was, but it was completely awesome to have that hour with my girl. I love her heart and how she shares with me all the awesome silly crazy important details of the moments of her life in my absence.
Then, this evening, after the kiddos went to bed and Dancing with the Stars was over (YAY! Jennie's still in it!) Softie and I hooked up for a nice phone date. About an hour later, he was tired and went to bed.
We have always gotten along so well on the phone. I really do love him. I'm more than glad that we made it through the last couple of years.

I saw this quiz posted by a couple of bloggers today. Real people that I really know! We're all far apart, but our bond originated with the same person and the blogging has just spread from there.
We're all brilliant!
| You Scored an A |
![]() You got 10/10 questions correct. It's pretty obvious that you don't make basic grammatical errors. If anything, you're annoyed when people make simple mistakes on their blogs. As far as people with bad grammar go, you know they're only human. And it's humanity and its current condition that truly disturb you sometimes. |
We're all brilliant!

New toys
I love being the first to find a new Internet toy (as demonstrated below). Thanks, Lis, for usually being the one to introduce me to new things. I hope you enjoy the video and the new online toy for casting all of your friends in new videos.
Share them all!! Here!
Oh, and most importantly, don't warn them that it's coming. :-)

I've been tagged!!
Veronica tagged me for this meme. I must say that I feel like a total nerd for being so excited that she tagged me. It's like, well, it could be one of two things. Either she likes my neurosis and she's feeding it by choosing me for this meme, or she's already tagged all the other people she knows, so she's shooting at a new target.
Either way! I'm totally honored that I have been picked. She might have also noticed a bit of a block since last week. Whatever the reason. He he hee HAAAA! I GOT PICKED!!!! I FEEL SOOOOO COOOL now!

April Fools!!!
I've been sitting here for about 45 minutes with this post titled wondering how to make the body of the post match the title. The fact of the matter is that I was sitting her for about 20 minutes before I even came up with a title. So, I went for what was obvious what with today being April 1st and all.
What's wrong with me? Seriously? I think I need to borrow that book from my friend. That one about people not caring what you ate for lunch.
Meanwhile, I'm watching TV and my boys eat ice cream. Mr. I Can Eat Faster Than Anyone just had a major case of brain freeze. It's probably not very good mommy of me, but it's pretty funny that that happens every time he eats ice cream. You would think he'd figure out why that happens and slow down a little.
Ok. It's too bad that Aaron Spelling had to die so that both of his children could have their own reality shows. One is on O and the other is on TBS. I wish THAT was an April Fools joke, but based on my Google search results, I think these shows are real. It is cool that Zach Braff is in Tori's top friends on MySpace.
Tuesday is my dad's birthday. Happy Birthday, Daddy!!

Exposure
My awesome friend introduced me blogging. Then about a month ago, she mentioned this Reader she started using. During my experience last week with so much extra energy, I decided to try the Reader out for myself.
Well, in so doing, I have discovered a couple of things.
Well, in so doing, I have discovered a couple of things.
- There are TONS of blogs!
- There are way more things to talk about than I can even begin to fathom.
- People are smarter online than I think they are when they walk into WalMart. I'm not sure about this. Maybe the people at WalMart don't have computers.
- I think it's awesome how some people are very -ism'y. They really believe in what they believe in and write extensively about their stances.
- It's way easier to read blogs that just talk about their lives.
- I appreciate, as I have stated before, how people are so very real about themselves; strengths and shortcomings side by side. I totally love that! I want to be cool like that someday.
- Since starting this blogging and reading more and more, I'm finding that people really create relationships and friendships through this medium. The coolest thing that I thought about today, while not working very hard because my brain is freaking FRIED!, I was thinking about how I'm going to be headed to Alachua, Florida in a month and I wonder if there's any bloggers down there that I should not miss the opportunity to lunch or grab a drink with.
Silly me!

Literary clues...
I like watching TV more as an observer than an interested participant in plotlines. I find it very interesting that in many cases, I am able to tell what show is on just based on the film that is used. CSI uses a very specific type of film. So do the Law & Order series. I love to watch for the unspoken clues as well. What the weather is doing. Whether there is music or not. This bad, little, somewhat annoying habit of mine makes the viewing experience much less boring when I don't have much control of the remote.
Don't get me wrong, I really like getting involved in certain programs. Grey's Anatomy for one. And with that one, honestly, I like to think about what songs I could think of for upcoming episodes. Maybe one off Lisa's new album. I'd love to hear Misfit or Lover's Fly on that show. That would be cool!

My Promised Post
So, I called my most wonderfullest bestest friend in the world and told her that I was going to post today. So, since there's less than 40 minutes left today, I'd better get to it.
I think it's really weird how the things that I want to forget, I truly can't. I have been trying to rid my head of some old phone numbers. Seriously! They need to flush away for good. There's more things in there that could really use the space that they are taking up.
Two days ago, someone randomly asked me why we need potassium. Did you know that my mostly complete guess was dead on?! I have all this random stuff up there! No wonder I can't seem to get enough medication! I think that the useless stuff is confusing the meds. The poor meds don't know what to do with all that crap!!
The really great payoff for this killer memory of mine? No room for new info. Honestly! My brain is so full! I wanted to have fun with my favorite little word last night at band practice and I said it inside out. What's that about? Oh, and that class I took last summer? Those tests that I passed? That raise? Truly! I'm pretty sure that most of it will never be retrieved without the assistance of my text book.
I'm sure I could close this post with more of a point, but I just can't think of one.

A Woman's Mind
A woman's mind is so cavernous. There are things that swim around up there that don't ever see the light of day. What constitutes that which will not come out once it's been deposited?
I can't help but think that our past experiences with others and the reactions from sharing previous secrets limit our willingness to share them. Whether it is something that you think is funny that no one else does or something that you thought you could share with your closest friend, the way those things are received by others can ultimately determine how and with whom you'll share again.
Eventually, through the passage of time, we strongly limit and in some cases we completely lock up these things. After time, putting things into this quiet place becomes second nature. So much so, that we don't even realize we're doing it.
That is until, somewhere along the line, we find someone. Someone with whom our thoughts align. Our fears relate. Our experiences collide. Someone unexpected. And yet, it is for real. I'm so glad that this person exists. And more than that, I'm glad I found her. A kindred spirit. Someone who gets me without a lot of explanation. It's pretty refreshing. It can be hard to believe that she's for real, but I really think that it is. More than that, I'm really glad she's here right now.
